“I Was A Police Officer.”

I have written in the past about my respect and support for America’s police officers. As you may know, I have worked with the police extensively as a practicing psychologist.

My friend, Lee Hornack, sent me the piece that I now post to you below.

No additional comment by me is necessary.

I Was A Police Officer

Today, I will not answer the radio call that your boyfriend has come home drunk and is beating you again.

Today I will not answer the radio call that your 16 year old daughter—who is very responsible—is four hours late coming home from school.

Today I will not answer the radio call that your store has been robbed or your house has been burglarized.

Today I will not stop a drunk driver from killing someone. I will not catch a rapist or a murderer or a car thief.

Today I will not answer the radio call that a man has a gun or tried to abduct a child or that someone has been stabbed or has been in a terrible accident.

Today I will not save your child that became locked in a car or the child someone was too busy to watch who went outside and fell into the swimming pool, but that I would have tried desperately to revive.

No, today I will not do any of this. Why?

Today, I was suspended from duty, because the Media, liberals, a community organizer, a lawyer who formally represented terrorists (and who somehow unbelievably is the US Attorney General) and a Mayor who ran on an anti-police agenda, who are all advised by a drug dealer, liar and income tax cheat named Sharpton…….AND, all who know nothing about the challenges of daily work in Law Enforcement………have vilified my profession for their own dishonest political gains, and have elevated the life of unemployed, criminal street thugs…..above the life & duty of dedicated Law Enforcement professionals. Their new “Rules of Engagement”……from this Obama Administration…..try to make everything I do restricted (at the cost of your own safety and the safety of your Loved Ones) to fit their twisted definition of “racial political correctness”, while they sit in front of their televisions watching football games, or Rachel Maddow, with their own armed guards nearby (paid for by your tax dollars while they spew anti-firearm messages).

Remember this the next time you go to the Ballot Box, or when anyone asks your advice on which Leaders to vote for.
